Here's a new illustration I created with Prismacolor markers, "Super Mario Meat"! Mario is made of a t-bone steak, prosciutto, mortadella (with pistachios), bacon, sausage, meatballs, salami and capicola. His mouth is a small smooth chunk of pimento.

This September 2nd, Floating World Comics premiered a themed charity show called "KATAMARI", based on the wonderful games created by Keita Takahasi. The show amassed Katamari and Noby Noby Boy themed artwork from over 40 artists, painting a rainbow of styles and portrayals. Here is my piece for the show:

Katamari cousin Nik and Noby Noby Boy roll up some lunch! This 7x11" piece is composed entirely of Prismacolor marker on Strathmore bristol paper.

As an added special "thank you" gift from me to the winning bidder, I am including a copy of Jaephisch and the Dark Rainbow Chapters 1 & 2 full color edition (40 pages of my fantasy/adventure printed webcomic) and Fine Literature #2 (a 100 page anthology containing my comic Head In The Bed as well as art and literature from 30+ contributors). That's 140 pages of excellent artwork and story to enjoy alongside your original framed Katamari artwork by me! Watch this video to learn more about these books.

Floating World Comics is auctioning many pieces from the show, including mine, to raise money to benefit Join, a Portland organization that works to "connect the street to a home". Every dollar raised will help to educate, rehabilitate and fortify the homeless to attain permanent housing.

Both graphic novel anthologies which feature many great artists and writers expressing their love for music and how it effects their lives. I have a 6 pager in Side A which I created in 2007 and an 8 pager in Side B, written by Greg Khmara, that we created late 2008.

From Color Ink Book: TWO ISSUES, A SHIRT & A COOL FIGURINE!

I started having black and white line art in the second issue of Color Ink Book, printed earlier this year, and have since been in volume four as well. The fourth volume had a cover variant which I drew, but that was a San Diego Comic Con limited edition. For SDCC, they also printed my Skeleton Rayola onto American Apparel classic tees and partnered with legendary toy designer and sculptor David Arshawsky to make a pencil topper/zipper pull figurine of the same design! It even glows in the dark!

From Blood is the New Black: A SHIRT AND SOME ORIGINAL ART!

Greg and I teamed up once again to produce a new shirt for Blood is the New Black, the "Insane Mane". Finally, you can be clean shaven and still sport a big beard! We have four designs coming out with the Spring season, three of which are in my marker colors :) The two illustrations above were created for the 5th anniversary party and art show, which was held at Junc Gallery and featured "Blood" and "Black" themed work from the BITNB artists. Both pieces are originals, 16x20" painted India ink on Bee canvas paper.
